Ethereal Bodies, 2024

Coming out at a young age meant going through a more than a decade-long journey of exploring my sexuality and identity. As a queer woman of color, both of these series capture my “alter egos”, so to say, while highlighting identities, presentation, and self-acceptance.
 

Ethereal Bodies features two individuals presented in a god-like light, embodying both power and softness. The images look delicate, with two-dimensional texture that makes them almost touchable, creating a sense of intimacy. Meanwhile, they carry a homoerotic undertone, celebrating the beauty of same-sex desire.
